Non-redundant dataset filter

Initial analysis of the contents of this database revealed a large degree of overlap in terms of sequence and structure.

In order to account for this redundancy, we compared each structures sequence and geomerty to every other structure. If the sequences are the same and the angles are within 10° then the structures are considered redundant. One structure from each of these groupings is randomly selected as the representative structure. When you select "Use non-redundant dataset" your search is limited to the set of 3,986 structures our criteria considers unique.
